DouglasBay Capital plc (AIM:DBAY.LN) announces that, on 8 February 2010, Laxey Partners Ltd (‘Laxey Partners’) acquired 4,368,820 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 5.5 pence per Ordinary Share.

Prior to this dealing Laxey Partners and the funds managed by Laxey Partners, held 1,247,022,149 Ordinary Shares, 93.21% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Following this dealing Laxey Partners, together with funds managed by Laxey Partners, hold 1,251,390,969 Ordinary Shares, 93.54% of the total issued share capital of the Company.
