DouglasBay Capital plc (AIM:DBAY.LN) announces that it was notified today
that the Directors set out below acquired ordinary shares of 5p each in
the Company ('Ordinary Shares') from Laxey Partners Ltd on 28 July 2009:

* David Panter, Non-executive Chairman, acquired 487,805 Ordinary Shares
at a price of 5.125p each, following which he holds 3,787,805 Ordinary
Shares (representing approximately 0.28% of the issued share capital
of the Company); and

* David Blackler, Non-executive Director, acquired 487,805 Ordinary
Shares at a price of 5.125p each, following which he holds 2,987,805
Ordinary Shares (representing approximately 0.22% of the issued share
capital of the Company)
