TDG is one of Europe’s major logistics service providers with over 7,000 employees and 85 years’ experience in freight forwarding, supply chain management and contract logistics. TDG operates across 130 sites in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, the Benelux region and Hungary.

We acquired TDG at the height of the financial crisis in October 2008, just a month after the collapse of Lehman Brothers. At once we moved decisively to implement a wide ranging revitalisation plan focused on cash generation, return on investment and cost control, working in conjunction with a new management team.

In March 2011 we successfully completed the disposal of TDG to Norbert Dentressangle for a total cash consideration of £208m; thus securing a very attractive return for investors, equivalent to an IRR of over 30%
